The recent incident which happened in a South Goa school which led to severe injury to a third standard child has been blown out of proportion to malign and tarnish the reputation of the school. The incident which happened when two girls were playing the “tap game” was a freak accident. The class teacher along with the headmistress of the school took immediate steps to inform the parents and also volunteered to take the child to the nearby health centre, but the mother of the child said that she herself would take the child to the doctor. The CCTV footage available in the school reveal the true facts. The police are investigating the matter. It seems to be a conspiracy by some vested interests to defame the school, which has achieved academic excellence during the last decade. My humble request to the media is to listen to both the parties, verify the facts and then publish the news.
