After almost three years the MDR-6 Siolim-Marna road got a new carpet of hot mix which was a relief to lakhs of citizens who used this road daily.
But today, thousands of litres of water are seen overflowing on the road and into the drains. Precious water is allowed to be wasted at the cost of the tax paying citizen.
The Chief Minister promised free water to consumers but such wastage should not be allowed. We have another few more months to go as the summer approaches and the fear of water shortage looms.
The PWD should have checked on the replacement of the old supply line and got the job completed simultaneously before hot mixing the road. If the government boasts of no corruption at least now it should be crystal clear that they lack vision of job execution and systematic planning.
In the name of development and elections approaching such wastage is nothing but corruption.
