Many places in Margao are very dangerous for pedestrian and vehicular traffic alike. It is difficult to negotiate raised road levels due to the retarring of roads, drains without covers, missing pavers, broken gutter lids, and what have you. Minor accidents take place frequently, especially at night and in areas with inadequate lighting.
The government authorities should inspect and repair such crumbling civic infrastructure before a major mishap occurs. After all, what are our taxes collected for? Certainly not for politicians to feather their nests.
