BJP govt must regulate wrongdoing, not faith

The BJP government cannot be allowed to weaponise FCRA against Christian institutions, churches and organisations serving the poor and needy. In India Christian institutions have contributed enormously to education, healthcare, humanitarian relief and social welfare for generations. Most of the hospitals and schools known for their excellence and academic rigour have been set up by Christian missionaries, infact almost all of the BJP younger lot have benefited from the quality education provided by convent schools. Transparency must apply to everyone. But selective scrutiny, arbitrary restrictions and harassment in the name of regulation are unacceptable, mind you, the whole world is watching. Do not treat Christian institutions as suspects because of their faith. India belongs equally to Christians, Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs and to citizens practising other religions. Regulate wrongdoing, not faith. Protect the Constitution, not political ideology in your blind quest for forever controlling the levers of power.
