Borda road needs urgent action to address fatalities

As regular visitor to Borda (Fatorda Constituency), I have noticed increased traffic with high speed/haphazard/reckless driving; putting both drivers and pedestrians at risk! I have been informed by local residents that fatalities (including very serious ones!) have significantly increased in this area. For the projects coming up on either side of the road, have the traffic concerns been taken into account. Can I request the Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai to have the necessary government department work in this at the earliest including pedestrian crossings, visible speed limit signs, well-marked speed breakers and CCTV to ensure strict compliance with traffic laws? Needless to say, on such a busy road I rarely see Traffic Police monitoring the traffic. Can the Transport Minister Mauvin Godinho also look into this and take action to reduce fatalities/deaths on this stretch. Lives are precious and Goa government needs to be pro-active on the same.
