The beautiful Margao Municipal Council building has been made ugly by the installation of sewerage pipes, drainpipes and broken light fixtures mounted on its façade. A little more sensitivity could have been shown by the architect/engineer in charge of the renovation. Possibly, the downpipes could have been installed inside the corridor in a functionally designed duct. The masonry has been cruelly damaged, and leakages are already visible at the pipe joints. To top it all, AC units have been fixed right on the first-floor windows. The entire work has been handled in an extremely shoddy manner by the authorities. Could the MMC take another look at this?
