Speculations are already rife among most of the people who wish for a change in guard in the Assembly elections set to be held in just over three months that the Opposition is deliberately falling prey to machinations of the ruling dispensation and are deliberately squandering a definite chance to win in the face of wide disenchantment by the electorate towards the incumbent dispensation. It is almost sure that a divided opposition will like in the 2022 assembly polls not be able to win even 15 seats.The division of the Opposition consisting of the Congress, Aam Aadmi Party, Goa Forward Party and the Revolutionary Goans is making people believe that there is a deliberate conspiracy that the Opposition parties are splitting the more than 60 per cent of their vote share to enable the ruling party to win again. Why is that the Opposition cannot learn from their 2022 showing and join hands so as to emerge victorious? Are the Opposition parties due to their intransigence falling deliberate prey to money and muscle power, instead of uniting and ensuring victory? Are the people of Goa going to be cheated again ?
