E-20 Janta Party seeks govt's accountability

The recent agitation led by the Cockroach Janta Party seeking justice for students gained widespread public support across India. However, the decision to end the protest appears premature, especially when police action against protesters continues in Bihar and other states. Many people believe that the Central Government's assurances have failed to address their concerns. Public dissatisfaction extends beyond this issue. Many Indians, including members of the Indian diaspora, have expressed criticism of the government on matters such as unemployment, corruption, paper leak cases, GST, and alleged irregularities in the electoral process. Concerns have also been raised about the impact of E-20 petrol, with some vehicle owners claiming it has damaged their vehicles. The newly formed E-20 Janta Party has called for demonstrations on 1 and 4 August, demanding accountability from the Petroleum Ministry. With over two lakh supporters, its organisers hope these protests will draw attention to economic and public policy issues and encourage the government to address citizens' grievances more effectively.
