Make Mhaje Ghar certificates easier to access

Once applicants make the necessary payments under the Mhaje Ghar Yojana in Goa, legal ownership documents such as Sanads or Regularisation Certificates are issued through official channels. The Government of Goa also distributes approved certificates through public programmes, which is welcome. However, some certificates are ready but have not reached beneficiaries. The government should streamline the process and consider delivering final documents through local authorities.

I have personally visited government offices four times. One applicant is still waiting for a call, another has made five enquiries for a second-round call, a third had the application rejected, while a fourth is dissatisfied because the application was overlooked despite following the prescribed guidelines. There should be an online facility to track applications and download certified copies through the Goa Online Portal. Local nodal offices should proactively deliver approved certificates. While distribution camps are a good initiative, beneficiaries should not have to make repeated visits to government offices.
