A pall of gloom has descended over Ribandar, with the sudden passing away of our dear brother and outstanding young musician Elvis De Souza. He was so swiftly and abruptly snatched away from our midst after being struck with a massive heart attack on August 12 late night. Ribandar has sadly lost a very talented and promising son.
Besides a great musician and a gentleman to the core that he always was, Elvis had strong and realistic views on social-political issues. He was very concerned about how awry things were going on in the political turf. I last spoke to him just a few days ago when he told me about the musical shows he had held at that Silly Souls Cafe & Bar at Assagao. Elvis enthralled thousands across Goa. As we bid farewell, we also express our gratitude and admiration for the rich legacy our simple and humble Elvis leaves behind. He and his super music will live in our hearts and minds forever. Rest in peace my dear friend. Till we meet again brother.
