Goa is all set to host the India Bike Week, one of Asia’s largest motorcycling festival on December 6 and 7

For most people riding a motorcycle is an everyday thing while for others; it’s a way of life. India Bike Week, one of Asia’s largest motorcycling festival will be held in Goa this December. Individuals with a shared passion for biking will converge at Vagator in Goa over two days to connect and share their stories will fellow bikers and travellers.   

Here’s a look at talented this edition of India Bike Week 2019  

Dr Maral Yazarloo-Pattrick   

Iran-born motor-biking world record holder, fashion designer, artist, marketing professional, motivational speaker and campaigner for women’s rights.  

In March 2017, Dr. Maral Yazarloo-Pattrick commenced a solo world biking tour across seven continents (Asia, Australia, North America, South America, Antarctica, Africa and Europe) with no backup or team.  

The ride started from India and through 18 consecutive months, Maral covered 64 countries and traversed over 110,000 km.   

Dr Maral also founded the riding group ‘Ladies of Harley’ and is the founder of the first-ever ladies superbike club ‘Lady Riders of India’. On the professional front, Maral made her debut as a fashion designer at a show in Paris and also showcased her collections in Rome, London, India and Dubai.  

RideToBeOne Campaign:  

Dr Maral started a campaign called ‘RideToBeOne’ to generate awareness about how women in Iran are not allowed to ride motorcycles even though they can drive cars. As part of her campaign, Maral set out on a riding journey and managed to get the permission to ride across Iran and even submitted a request to the authorities to allow other women riders in the country to ride motorcycles.

Music Acts at IBW

Ritviz - One of the youngest music producers in India, Ritviz, has achieved what others only dream of. Ritviz’s tracks have a heavy influence Hindustani classical, amalgamated with bass-heavy, techno music. Ritviz recently opened for global pop star Katy Perry at a concert in Mumbai. He will be playing his beats on the music stage on day 2 of IBW 2019.  


Pineapple Express - Pineapple Express are a progressive fusion band that works with Carnatic, rock, experimental, electronic and djent elements. They are mainly known for exploring a diverse range of genres effortlessly, and delivering high energy live audio-visual performances. Their signature, one of a kind, song writing style is something to be experienced by one’s own eyes.  

Su Real and General Zooz - Su Real aka Suhrid Manchanda is at the forefront at pop culture in India. u Real represents the new breed of Indian music producers who create and curate for the modern Indian dancefloor. His all-inclusive approach to music ensures his status as a champion of the underground who can also whip a main-stage crowd into total jaw-dropping hysteria.  


Best Kept Secret - Bengaluru-based band, Best Kept Secret is an electro-pop, rock and funk band. The four-member band has made waves not only in the country but internationally as well. In 2018 they performed at the Band Lift music festival and also collaborated with German artistes.  



Sneha Yadav

Mumbai-based artist Sneha Yadav encapsulates her love for machines through ink illustrations and water colours. She got into art at around 8-9 years of age and used to doodle on her textbook covers, desks in school, walls or whatever surface was available and  
plain enough to doodle. Sneha discovered that drawing machines made her happy. From cars, jeeps and bikes she moved to sketching defence, construction vehicles and aircrafts.   
Where to catch Sneha Yadav: Sneha will have some of her best sketches and watercolor work on display at IBW 2019. She will also be conducting a workshop and interacting with artists on automobile art.  


Anam Hashmi

The youngest Indian female stunt rider at 23 years. She made history for being the first woman to ride to Ladakh’s Khardung La, a treacherous trip, on a TVS Scooty Zest.According to Anam being a woman in India is a challenge in itself and when you choose a sport like stunt riding, you have no backing. Initially, she feels she faced some resistance. It was her commitment and talent that took her places and eventually those who ridiculed her now give her, a pat on the back

Sukesh Vishwanathan

Sukesh Viswanath wears many hats. As a documentary filmmaker, he has had a camera in hand for over 10 years. He was a PADI dive instructor, and a creative producer. Later, quit his job and took off on a motorcycle journey across Latin America for 5 months with his buddy Rohit Subramanian covering three countries, over 30,000 km with an ambitious idea of creating a feature-length documentary. He has created a documentary capturing his journey in over 200 hours of high definition footage.
