Well known artist and art historian Apurva Kulkarni will deliver a talk on ‘The Manifesto of a Dirty bomb at the Design Centre in Porvorim, located a short distance from Panaji. ‘The Manifesto of a Dirty Bomb’, according to Apurva is a deliberation on the meaning underlying in his art.
Apurva Kulkarni is an artist, art historian and independent curator. He is a post graduate in art history from Baroda (M.S.U) and has been a teacher for more than twenty-five years. He is the curator of critically acclaimed shows like ‘I am Red’, ‘The Unbearable Lightness of Being’, ‘Bioscope’, ‘Efface’ and ‘Kama Interrupted’. He has also conducted art, film appreciation and art history courses at galleries around Goa.
As an artist he pioneered performance and conceptual art in Goa and participated in group shows in the country and abroad. More recently he has initiated a book club, Between the Lines and hosts and curates a film club, Imago at Gallery Gitanjali, Panjim.
