A subject not so often worked on and an individualistic film focuses on the life of a prostitute who struggles to find a customer to make income but in the end earns just Rs. Hundred. That’s the reason the title of the movie is, ‘The Hundred Bucks.’
The Hindi movie is set to release in January2020 all over India but before that it intends to gather views during its premiere in International Film Festival of India. A debut film by director, Dushyant Singh is an adaptation of the book, ‘The Hundred Bucks.’ The film, a three crores budget movie is a life story of Mumbai that is shot in Mumbai. The shooting throughout the movie was done entirely at night.
Theatre artist and film actor, Kavita informed that this is her debut movie as an actress. “I am happy to share that I was chosen for the lead role in the beginning of my career. My role is women-oriented, representing woman as a symbol of emotional power in a patriarchal society.”
The model further added, “It is a great pleasure that the director saw the potential in me and immediately without any audition approved me for the film.” The movie is on a sensitive topic and aims to highlight disrespect and the eccentric behaviour of the people towards prostitutes.
