It takes a Baba Ramdev to tire the hyperactive ball of energy that is Ranveer Singh. This is exactly what happened when Ranveer Singh turned the stage of a session at Agenda Aaj Tak in Delhi into a makeshift gym. He then invited Bab Ramdev to dance with him.
At first, the yoga guru declined, but Ranveer wouldn’t take no for an answer. “Agar aap babaji ka dance dekhna chahate hain, toh give me a, ‘Hell yeah,’” he said, and the audience complied. So Baba Ramdev gave up and Ranveer brought him onstage “ in Ranveer’s heart, he must have been thinking that he would easily beat the Baba in a dance battle. But boy! Was he in for a shock!
Now, we all know that Ranveer has energy levels that practically bounce off the walls. He would have guessed that when it comes to a dance battle, he could defeat a lot of people.
Baba Ramdev, however, is not one of them. The actor was tired out by the yoga guru who left him panting and had to accept defeat. The two were, however, a complete entertainment package.
It seems the actor can do with some fitness tip from Baba Ramdev. The two did their strange mix of dance and yoga to Bajirao Mastani’s famous song Malhari.
The video has gone viral and rightfully so. The highlight of course was when Baba Ramdev stood on his head and then waited for Ranveer to do the same.
Baba Ramdev then poked fun at Ranveer Singh asking, "Abhi kushti karna hai? (Do you want to wrestle now?)" Ranveer Singh folded his hands and replied, "Nahi, baba. (No, baba)"
The actor knew he’d been outdone and waited for Baba Ramdev to stand normally before bowing down low and hugging his knees in defeat. The show wasn’t over yet though, the final humiliation for Ranveer was still to come “ because Ramdev proceeded bow and pick up Ranveer on his shoulder like the WWF wrestlers, twirl him around and dance with the 5’8” actor resting on his shoulder.
Ranveer later stated that he will play Baba Ramdev in his biopic. It seems the actor should start working on his fitness right away.
