Woman dies of burn injuries MARGAO:A 66-year-old woman succumbed to burn injuries which she sustained when she was accidentally engulfed by the flames of a lamp at Fatorda.
According to Margao town police, the incident occurred when the woman, one Shanta Hiremath, a resident of Marlem-Fatorda, was on a visit to the temple in Fatorda on Saturday. She suffered burn injuries when she came in contact with flames of a lamp at the temple and soon found herself engulfed in flames.
She was admitted to GMC, Bambolim where she passed away on November 28.
Margao town police have registered an offence under Section 174 of IPC
