Konkani music set to take centre stage in Qatar during Reena and Lindsay show

Goans and Mangaloreans in Qatar will get an opportunity to hear and dance to the tunes of Konkani songs when Reena Vaz and Lindsay Pitter perform at Balia Bar & Lounge of Horizon Manor Hotel in Doha on July 28, the management of Baila Bar & Lounge announced Tuesday.

The Mumbai-based duo, who beat pandemic blues with radio-era live gigs on Facebook and have since then carved out a niche for themselves in the world wide community of music lovers and flooded with requests to perform in many countries are set to perform in Qatar.

Besides English and Hindi songs, the duo has promised to belt out a few Konkani numbers taking into account the substantial number of Konkani speaking community based in Qatar, hailing from Goa and Mangalore and other parts of India.

Music lovers in Doha will be able to watch the high energy live performance and sway to the popular tunes by the fantastic duo of Commercial Pop, Classic Rock, and light Instrumental/Vocal Jazz with Western and Bollywood songs. Their genres include Commercial Pop, Rock, Light Jazz, Disco, Bollywood Punjabi, Latin, Rock ‘n’ Roll, Reggae, Country, Alternative Rock, Ballads and the Golden all-time classics as well.

The power packed duo head to Doha with rich experience of having performed as singers and musicians for the last two decades until the pandemic forced them to look to other avenues to continue with their music and connected to fans via Facebook in pandemic times.
