Odyssey 12, Goa’s biggest management fest came to athrilling end on Saturday, September 29, 2012. The event which was spreadacross three days saw some of the top management schools from across thecountry participate and compete for brilliance. With several competitions tofight for and various parameters to be judged upon, the students gave theirbest shot to emerge victorious. The event concluded with a valedictory ceremonyand a cultural event organised by the students of Saraswat BBA. The chief guestfor the valedictory Mr. Rajendra Singhal of Goa Gold Pvt Ltd did thedistribution of prizes as colleges from Goa & beyond received the fruit oftheir toil for the last 3 days.
After a successful day one and two there was a lot ofpressure riding on the performance of day three, not only for the participatingteams that made it into the finals but for the organisers as well. But theorganisers played their cards right to ensure things were on track.
The evening on Day 3 started off with a stressful round forthe contestants, as they were tested by eminent members of the industry and thealumni of Saraswat BBA. The stage was later taken over by RJ Pankaj & RJSachin from Radio Mirchi 98.3FM, as they included some much needed stressbusting activities into the event’s itinerary.
The competitions and quizzes then made way for culturalperformances from students and professional performers took charge to entertainthe crowd that continued to pour in. One of the professional acts included anact from the A-Team, a professional dance troupe from Goa that has worked forChannel [V] in the past and has represented Goa on various national platforms.Every act on the list was much appreciated by the viewers as they keptscreaming out for more.
The cultural show was then followed by the much awaitedprize distribution. The Department of Commerce, Manipal University emerged asthe overall winners of Odyssey 2012, while Symbiosis Centre for ManagementStudies received the runners-up trophy. KLE Belgaum won the Best Manager round and Rosary College was crownedrunners up. Manipal took home the prize for Marketing and Dempo College came inas runners up. The winners cherished their victory amidst other studentscheering them and the evening went down with a bang!
