Once upon a time there lived an oak tree at the bank of ariver. Beside it stood some reeds. When there was a breeze the reeds wouldbreak but they would not die as they are very tall.
One there was a breeze again. This time the oak said to thereeds “look at yourself. Whenever there is breeze you always blow. But look atme. I always stand strong and stiff.” Hearing this reeds were very hurt butthey in turn said to the oak that they bow to the wind.
After some days, the breeze blew very harshly. Once againthe reeds were blowing. After some time wind blew more harshly. This time theoak could not bear the breeze and he fell down with all his pride.
Moral: It is better to be bend than to be broken.
