GPCC Chief Girishbab Chodankar was apparently bracing up to make a big entry in Fatorda over the government’s privatization plan for the South Goa district hospital. Girishbab had just set a 15-day ultimatum to the government to either open the building for Covid care or face protests. Even as his archrival and Goa Forward Chief Vijaibab Sardesai had mulled a PIL in the High Court, Girishbab and his foot soldiers were chalking out a plan of action to mobilize Fatordekars to come out and protest, before the government declared the district hospital as a Covid hospital.
