Did CM’s visit endorse BJP support to Damu?

It was a week when Chief Minister Pramodbab Sawant descended in Fatorda on a purely religious visit upon an invitation of party leader Damubab Naik. This is perhaps the first time the CM has visited Fatorda post-election results and comes against the backdrop of speculations that Fatorda MLA and Goa Forward chief Vijaibab Sardesai may not be averse in embracing the saffron brigade in the near future. Doubts were cast in the minds of the BJP cadre over these speculations. Will CM’s visit help clear the air and send a message to the cadre that the party is behind Damubab. Wait and watch.

Suspense over Kamat’s Delhi visit

Hazard a guess why did senior Congress leader Digambar Kamat air-dash to Delhi on Thursday. While Diggu’s presence in Delhi left tongues wagging, sources said the senior Congress leader has attributed his visit to attend a birthday party. Any questions?

Poll debacle: Congmen for Chintan Baithak

Senior Congress leader M K Sheikh’s demand for a Chintan Baithak to assess the party’s 2022 electoral debacle has found takers in the party, including incumbent GPCC chief Amitbab Patkar. Sheikh is one leader who was forthright in saying there’s no point in blaming AAP, RG and TMC over the party’s debacle. Instead, he has called for introspection behind the party’s defeat and come out with a road map. Reasons behind the party core voterbase shifting to the RG, AAP and TMC is yet to be ascertained. Wait and watch.

GPCC chief has task at hand in rebuilding party

GPCC chief Amitbab Patkar is under the scanner of party men how he would go about his work in rebuilding the party. He seemed to have a task at hand “ to convey to the party rank and file that he does not belong to any camp, neither the camp of the outgoing GPCC chief nor is aligned to any other group. In fact, Amitbab may realise that party leaders are on a  hunt to find out who belongs to which group in the party. Any questions?

Chetna Yatra: Lobo, Kamat’s absence raises eyebrows

Absence of Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader Michaelbab Lobo and senior leader Digambar Kamat at the launch of the party’s Chetna Yatra from Cuncolim earlier this week was the talking point amongst party men. Perhaps the first programme launched by the new leadership post-election, workers insisted that the seniors attend party programme and guide the flock. The absence of the senior leaders only left tongues wagging amongst local party men whether all is well in the main Opposition party.
