The father-son duo of Joaquim and Yuri Alemao may have to answer a question or two on the National Highway 66 passing through Cuncolim. Before his election as MLA, Yuri and Joaquim had launched an agitation demanding the construction of the Cuncolim bypass aligned to the Konkan railway tracks. Nothing, however, has been heard from the Cuncolim MLA & Opposition Leader to date with the bypass alignment running parallel the railway tracks not finding favour with the National Highways. Wait and watch.
