This may seem strange, but true. At a time when many expected the opposition to come on a single common platform to save Mhadei and expose the BJP, reports emanating from the opposition camp indicate the parties preferred to take up the issue at their party forums. If Congress addressed the media on the issue in the morning, Goa Forward Party had a briefing on the issue in the evening. Aam Aadmi Party too had a media briefing on Mhadei. In fact, with the BJP Karnataka unit expected to capitalise on the Centre’s decision, clearing dams and bhandaras, the Goa Congress seemed to tread a cautious path, least the saffron brigade in the neighbouring State paints the Congress in bad light ahead of the ensuing Assembly polls. Any questions?
