Moments after it became clear that Congress veteran Luizinhbab Faleiro’s name finds no mention in the list of Congress general secretaries, questions were raised within Congress circles and outside whether there may be a change of guard in the GPCC presently headed by Girishbab Chodankar. Sources say the Congress leadership may accommodate the veteran Congress leader with a position in his home state. And, with the 2022 election just a year and a half away and the Aam Aadmi Party bracing up to make deep inroads, especially in the Congress strongholds, sources do not rule out the Congress party high command going for a change in guard. Wait and watch.
