It is a sheer coincidence that when Health Minister Vishwajitbab Rane descended on the South Goa district hospital for inspection on Saturday, policemen were found deployed at the premises. Fatorda PI Kapilbab Nayak was personally present when scribes were waiting for the HM to shed light on the hospital commissioning. Even the media briefing at the hospital lobby was held under police protection, leaving the scribes to wonder whether the cops were called to keep the journos at bay or whether Rane was anticipating law and order trouble over his stand to set up a private medical college in the building. Interesting, isn’t it?
