GPCC Chief Girishbab Chodankar is the cynosure of all eyes these days. Whether he will remain in the saddle or not will be known in the coming days, but the way his aides Sankalp Amonkar and Usman Khan have gone about to demand status quo has only raised the question amongst party seniors whether aggressive posturing by his foot soldiers was with or without his knowledge. Both the North and South district chiefs came under fire from Girishbab’s supporters, with South district Chief Joebab Dias escaping an attack. It’s not clear whether the GPCC Chief discussed the matter with Joebab when they were spotted together at the Lohia Maidan.
