Derrick Pereira, former coach of FC Goa, has been elected president of AWES (Association for the Wellbeing of Elder Sportspersons) for the year 2022-25 and Adlear D’Cruz General secretary of Salgaocar Club is its General Secretary. The following have been elected to the Managing Committee for the same period: Vice-Presidents: Avertano Furtado, Vinod Parkot, Joseph Dias, Wilfred D’Sousa; Assistant Secretary: Jonathan D’Sousa, Alberto Colaco; Treasurer: Ashley Furtado; Assistant Treasurer: Sanjeev Nagvenkar; Members: Juliana Colaco, Lector Mascarenhas, Patwin Fizardo, Schubert Furtado. Padma Shri Brahmanand Shankhwalkar has been appointed as the mentor of the association.
