The 2nd Inter Unit and Sub Division Badminton Championship organised by the Goa Police Sports Cell commenced on Thursday. A total of 30 teams from various departments within the Goa Police are participating in this 2-day tournament.
The semi-finals and finals will be held on June 21 in the evening.
The Gazetted officers of the Goa Police can showcase their skills in a special competition on June 21 during the morning session, starting at 10 am.
The tournament was inaugurated by SP Sports Sunita Sawant at the Campal Indoor Stadium. The dignitaries present included SDPO Cancona Tikam Singh, SDPO Quepem Nilesh Rane, and several Deputy Superintendents of Police. The SP Sports emphasized the importance of such events in maintaining physical and mental fitness among police personnel.
The grand finale and prize distribution ceremony will be held on June 21 at the Campal Indoor Stadium, Panjim. The ceremony will be graced by Chief Guest Jaspal Singh, DGP Goa.
