The Ulhas Jewellers-BPS Major Ranking Table Tennis Tournament 2024, held at the Multipurpose Stadium in Fatorda, has reached an exhilarating stage with Chandan Caro, Atharva Dhulapkar, and Dhruva Kamat advancing to the finals.
In the U-13 Boys quarter-finals, Chandan Caro defeated Ishan Colaco 3-0, Chinmay Bhakare bested Kaushik Nair 3-0, Yug Prabhu overcame Ruhaan Shaikh 3-0, and Dhruva Kamat triumphed over Vedant Wagle 3-0. The semi-finals saw Chandan Caro beat Chinmay Bhakare 3-1 and Dhruva Kamat defeat Yug Prabhu 3-0, setting up a thrilling U-13 Boys singles finals.
In the U-15 Boys quarter-finals, Chandan defeated Yug 3-0, Rishan Shaikh overcame Noel Kurian 3-0, Dhruva edged out Chinmay Bhakare 3-2, and Atharva Dhulapkar beat Vedant Wagle 3-0. The semi-finals witnessed Chandan defeating Rishan 3-2 and Atharva overcoming Dhruva 3-0. Chandan is set to clash with Atharva in the U-15 Boys singles finals.
The tournament also saw spirited displays from several promising players. Noel Kurian, Vedant Wagle, Tejaswa Morajkar, Ishaan Colaco, and Ruhaan Shaikh being some of the young talents who showcased their potential with impressive performances.
