Calangute Association and Velsao Sports & Cultural Club registered victories in the Goa Professional League football tournament organized by Goa Football Association. Calangute Association scored a solitary goal win over Panjim Footballers at Duler ground. The lone goal of the match was scored 82nd minute of the match by Ganesh Thakur.
In an another match played on Chowgule turf ground, Velsao Sports & Cultural Club came from behind in the first session to win 3-2 against Churchill Brothers FC.
For Velsao, Rohan Rodrigues scored a brace in the 34th and 52nd minutes while substitute James Fernandes scored the third goal in the 81st minute. For Churchill Brothers, Clencio Pinto and Shanon Viegas found the net in the 9th and 33rd minutes of the match.
