Mangueshi Youth claim 7-a-side football title

Mangueshi Youth, Mangueshi beat D Boys, Ponda 5-6 in the tie-breaker to win the all-Goa 7-a-side football tournament (floodlit), organised by Rising Ponda, at Bhausaheb Bandodkar ground, Kashimath, Ponda.

After a goalless regulation period, the match was won on penalties by Mangueshi Youth. The winners were awarded a cash prize of Rs 22,222 and a trophy, while the runners-up received a prize of Rs 11,111 and a trophy.

Emerging Player and Best Goalkeeper of the tournament awards were given to Vaman Kerkar (Mangueshi Youth). Chief guest Dr Ketan Bhatikar gave away the prizes.
