260 swimmers for 7th Speedo Goa Swimathon on April 8 & 9

A record 260 swimmers from across India and overseas will take part in the 7th edition of The Speedo Goa Swimathon to be held at Bambolim om April 8 & 9 between 7am “ 11 am.

Organized by Enduro Sports Goa, The Speedo Goa Swimathon this year is in aid of Coastal Impact, an organization working to maintain India’s pristine coastline. The event, which has gained momentum over 7 years will have a total prize money of Rs 42,000.

The competition will consist of five categories: 250m, 1km, 2km, 5km and for the first time, the 10km Olympic distance. The Speedo Goa Swimathon has the support of Speedo India, Drishti Life Support, the Goa Tourism Department, The Indian Navy and The Indian Army.

Fans will be able to catch all the action from designated locations on Bambolim beach. An added attraction this year is a beach football tournament on the morning of April 8 featuring local EPL supporters’ clubs. More info on www.endurosportsgoa.com.

PANAJIYash tasted success in the in the 300 m rifle three position in national championship where he finished second and also in the civilian championship where he bagged an individual silver. He had created a new national record last year when he had won a gold in the same event.
