Arlem Sports Club and Young Star of Majorda moved into the quarterfinals of the 9th Babu Brothers all-Goa Twenty20 cricket tournament, organised by Babu Brothers SC in memory of ex Ranji cricketer Rajesh Ghodge, at Curchorem Sports complex ground, Curchorem.   

In the first match, Young Star of Majorda beat Dambab Warriors by 3 wickets, while in the other match, Arlem Sports Club scored a 60-run win over Panjim Boys.   

Brief scores: Dambab Warriors 151 for 6 in 20 overs (Sahil Mandrekar 43, Kaushal Singh 38, Amod Borkar 25; Deepak Redkar 2-26, Maruti Huggi 1-46) lost to Young Star of Majorda 152 for 7 in 19.5 overs (Maruti Huggi 37 not out, Gauresh Kambli 34, Ayush 27; Prashant Lotlikar 3-23, Anshul Jain 3-33, Kaushal Singh 1-17); Man of the match “ Maruti Huggi (Young Star of Majorda); Arlem SC 135 all out in 17.2 overs (Vedant Naik 43, Sanket Morajkar 40, Vaibhav Naik 10; Shubham Tari 4-23) beat Panjim Boys, 75 all out in 13.5 overs (Saif Ali 28, Ketan Nandrekar 23; Murlidhar Talekar 4-7, Sanket Morajkar 2-10, Felix Alemao 2-17).
