On Tuesday, the 28-year-old, touched base in Goa and landed right into the waiting arms of his family members, who were ready to accord him a hero's welcome.“500 contestants from all over the country were vying for top honours at this contest. I finally made it to the top twelve and thereafter figured in the top five,” Juvekar told mediapersons.

Perseverance and passion, finally paid off for Betul's Siddesh Juvekar as he added another feather to his cap in bodybuilding by earning laurels for the State, after emerging the first runner-up at the 'Mr India Man Hunt' contest held in New Delhi last week.
For Siddesh, the title did not come easy. “Since the last one year, I have been working hard for this contest,” he informed.
At this contest, he represented Goa and in turn, was responsible for catapulting the State in the awards category.
Initially, his parents were keen on him pursuing business as his career option. Given the business moorings of the family, they wanted him to follow in the family's footsteps. “But one of our acquaintances felt, Siddhesh had the talent and prevailed upon us to permit him to follow his passion,” says his proud mother, Sunaina Dashrath Juvekar.
Siddesh's hunch and his dreams were realised, as he romped home as the runner-up in the 'Best Body' category. “Now, I will take up modelling as a full time career option,” he claims.
Next on his list, is the Mr India Worldwide Contest in Dubai, slated for October 24. “The grand finale of the contest will be held on October 31,” he adds.
At the same time, a TV career beckons him. He claims to have got offers from some top three channels and has already opted for one. Here, he has been offered a role in one of the TV serials.
Siddesh foresees a bright career in modelling and the fashion world, even as he laments the fact that Goans have, by and large, traditionally shied away from pursuing a career in this field. “In Goa, there are hardly any youth pursuing modelling as a career option,” he remarks.
