Curtorim Gymkhana defeated Sporting Club, Davorlim 2-1 and moved into the quarterfinals of the 47th Chandor Seamen football tournament organised by Chandor Club at Chandor Ground on Sunday. Both the teams, dished out a fast-paced football, to the delight of the large gathering of spectators. Curtorim Gymkhana scored first through Aleiward Mascarenhas in the 20th minute. Curtorim Gymkhana goalkeeper thwarted all the efforts of Davorlim forwards to keep a clean sheet in the first half. In the second half, Milton Colaco of Davorlim scored in the 38th minute, to draw level. But Nickson Castanha of Curtorim Gymkhana ensured victory for them, scoring in the 64th minute. Curtorim Gymkhana meet Betalbatim Sports Club in the quarterfinals.
