Damodar HSS supreme in U-19 judo

Damodar Higher Secondary School of Gudi-Paroda emerged champions in the U-19 inter Higher Secondary South District Judo tournament organized by Directorate of Sports & Youth Affairs at Fatorda indoor hall.

Damodar Higher Secondary School Judokas bagged 4 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze medals. Assis Dias (up to 40 kg), Delvin Fernandes (up to 45 kg), Faiyaz Shaikh (up to 65 kg) and Fricshana Menezees (up to 40 kg) bagged gold medals. Suman Karmakar (up to 55 kg), Yeshwant Vassoli (up to 60 kg) bagged silver medals while Prasad Jadhav (up to 50 kg), Rehman Burhaan (71 kg and above) and Nazmeen Banu Suleshwar (up to 48 kg) bagged bronze medals. The judokas were coached by Physical Education teachers - Jaikrishna Naik Desai & Laxman Prabhudesai, who ensured their wards gave their best.
