Sai Avtar SC cruised to a commanding 5-0 victory over FC Siolim in the GFA Third Division League at the Mandrem Panchayat ground on Friday.
Rohit Kamble starred with a brace, while teammates Rohit Parsekar, Ulhas Agarwadekar, and Tanay Malsekar each added a goal to seal the triumph.
The match saw Sai Avtar dominate the midfield early on, with their efforts rewarded in the 23rd minute when Rohit Kamble tapped in the opener. Just two minutes later, Rohit Parsekar doubled the lead with a powerful strike, setting the tone for the remainder of the match. Kamble further extended Sai Avtar's advantage in the 28th minute, securing his second goal of the day.
As the first half drew to a close, Ulhas Agarwadekar struck in added time, giving Sai Avtar a commanding 4-0 lead at the break. Despite FC Siolim's efforts to break through in the second half, Sai Avtar’s defence held strong. Tanay Malsekar added the final touch in the 60th minute, cementing the 5-0 scoreline.
In another fixture, United Ucassaim SCC edged past St Sebastian SC Mapusa with a narrow 1-0 victory at the Moira ground. Rohit Harifan's decisive goal secured the win for United Ucassaim.
