Francisco Bruto Da Costa has been appointed Assistant coach of Malaysia National football team

PANAJI
After two Indian coaches picked up coaching opportunities in Bangladesh earlier this year, there is more to cheer for Indians.
Goa’s Francisco Bruto Da Costa has bagged the role of assistant coach in Malaysia national team. Francisco has been the former youth coach of India U-14, U-17, U-19 national team and AIFF Elite Academy. He holds the AFC ‘A’ License from Jamshedpur in the year 2008 and also holds Pro License under the AFC.
Among his other career highlight, he has worked in the Indian Super League (ISL) with the NorthEast United FC. He was assistant to Nelo Vingada at NEUFC.
It is his work with Vingada at NEUFC that probably was influential in getting the role at Malaysia. This is because from NEUFC, Vingada took up the job at Malaysia national team after moving away from NEUFC last year. Malaysia are ranked 158 in the latest FIFA ranking.
