Goa Host City Logo launch at Bambolim on Sept 1

The Goa Host City Logo Launch of the FIFA U-17 World Cup India 2017 will take place on September 1, 2017 at the Bambolim Stadium at 4pm. Goa is a venue for one of the quarter-finals of the world event to be held across six cities from October 6-28, 2017 apart from holding as many as eight other matches.

The Goa Host City Logo will resemble a common sight in the State where young kids as well as adults come together to play the game of football, where, the joy of this beautiful game, for the State's populace usually unfolds on the lush green grass in the fields bordered by the swaying coconut palms in the light of the evening sun.
The colours used for the logo are interlinked with the continent.
The colours of the elements will include a dash of the colours representing every competing nation's flag.
This shall symbolise unity among all participating nations as they come together, to compete as one in Goa. The occasion will be graced with the presence of Chief Minister, Sports Minister, Javier Ceppi, the Tournament Director of the FIFA U-17 World Cup India 2017, Shrinivas Dempo, Venue Director Goa, LOC FIFA U-17 World Cup India 2017 amongst others.

CES off to winning start

Cuncolim Education Society (CES) College of Arts and Commerce started their campaign in the second season of Reliance Foundation Youth Sports on a triumphant note defeating Shree Damodar College of Commerce and Economics, Margao 4-2 at Government Village School grounds, Ambelim on Wednesday. CES were trailing 1-2 at half-time.

MARGAOCES College started the game with an attacking intent and broke the deadlock in the 10th minute when striker Glen Fernandes deceived the rival defender and unleashed a left footed drive to beat the rival goalkeeper hands down.Down by 0-1 , Damodar College intensified their attacks and Stephen Satarkar punted the ball to the far corner of the net with half hour on the clock.
