Joel wins Most Improved Bodybuilder title

Goan bodybuilder Joel Gonsalves stole the limelight as he won the Most Improved Bodybuilder title at the 6th Federation Cup 2017 National Senior Men’s Bodybuliding and Men’s & Women’s Sports Physique Championship organized by Goa Bodybuilding and Fitness Association at Ravindra Bhavan, here.

Punjab won the champions trophy and Pradeep Verma of Punjab emerged overall champion in bodybuilding but hosts Goa put up impressive performance at the championship.

Goa finished the first runner-up behind Mahrashtra and won five medals. Two silvers were earned by Vishant Gaude (75kg) and Joel Gonsalves (80kg) while Pradeep Kolwalkar (65kg) and Rahul Virdikar (85kg) won the bronze medal.

Hasleen Sethi (Mahrashtra) clinched the winner in the women’s physique sports category while Juned of Punjab emerged the
