Kamaxi College of Culinary Arts and Parvatibai Chowgule College of Arts and Science (Autonomous), Margao, advanced after winning penalty shootouts on the second day of the Goa University Inter-Collegiate Football Championship for Men 2026-27 on Thursday.
At the Goa University Ground, Kamaxi College defeated HPSM's Ganpat Parsekar College of Education 4-3 on penalties after the teams were locked 1-1 in regulation time.
Ganpat Parsekar took the lead through Varad Satarkar in the 35th minute, but Kamaxi equalised through Arnav Naik in the 40th minute. Kamaxi held their nerve in the shootout, with Warren Garis, Jordan D'Souza, Azhaan Wadi and Gokul converting. Viddesh Faraz, Samesh Gawade and Sujay Gaonkar scored for Ganpat Parsekar.
V.M. Salgaocar College of Law, Miramar, recorded a 3-0 win over Goa College of Art, Altinho. Aalok Halarnkar opened the scoring in the 21st minute, while Reuben Rodrigues scored twice in the 27th and 60th minutes.
Don Bosco College of Engineering, Fatorda, received a walkover against Goa College of Music, Altinho.
At Parvatibai Chowgule College, Narayan Zantye College of Commerce, Bicholim, registered a commanding 7-0 win over HPSM's College of Nursing, Arambol.
Nikhil Kolkar scored twice, in the first and 20th minutes, while Tejas Konkalkar, Vinay Vark and Gaurang Moraykar added goals in the seventh, 21st and 23rd minutes respectively. Ismail Shaikh scored in the 47th minute and Bhagesh Marulkar completed the rout in the 52nd.
In another shootout, Parvatibai Chowgule College of Arts and Science defeated VVM G.R. Kare College of Law 4-3 on penalties after a goalless draw.
Deepak Sahu, Jonathan Leitao, Sooraj Rathod and Edson D'Sa converted for Chowgule College, while Rui Noronha, Atmaram Jadhav and Vedang Naik scored for Kare College.
