Legal Lions emerged champions of the CPL T20 Season 3, defeating Xpress Challengers in the final held at SAG Chicalim Ground, Vasco. The tournament was organized by Rising Stars of Antruz.
Xpress Challengers won the toss and elected to field first. Batting first, Legal Lions posted a formidable total of 244/4, led by Vithalraj Sangodkar’s 81 and Dattaraj Parab’s 55. Peter Fernandes was the pick of the bowlers for Xpress Challengers, claiming 3 wickets.
In reply, Xpress Challengers struggled and were bowled out for 110, with Tejesh Sawant contributing 32 runs. For Legal Lions, Gajanan Korgaonkar and Pravin Gawas shared the spoils with 3 wickets each.
Andrew Thunderbolts secured third place in the tournament. Prizes were distributed by Eknath Dhuri, Justin Gowe, Sagar Govekar, Mahendra Tiwari, Dr. Paresh Kamat, Tanmay Sukhtankar, Dr. Ajay Pednekar, Dr. Santosh Usgaonkar, and Gaurish Lotlikar.
