MARGAO: Mix Boys Velim secured a dominant 3-0 victory over Dandora Boys to advance to the semi-finals of the 1st Edition of the AVCC (Assolna Velim, Cuncolim, Chinchinim) Open Invitational 9-A-Side football tournament, held in memory of Fr. Druston Correia, Macduf Monteiro, and Fr. Nevel Gracias, at the Velim ground, on Friday.
Mix Boys Velim scored their goals through Nieall Cardozo in the 23rd minute, Pream in the 27th minute, and Asgar in the 30th minute.
Sargam was named Man of the Match, with the award presented by Precopio Fernandes, a social worker from Velim.
