Goa’s Nhehern Acharya maintained his impressive record in world events as he swept four gold medals at the 26th World Yoga Championship held in Buenos Aires, Argentina on Sunday.
Nhehern was part of a seventeen-member yoga contingent sent by Yoga Federation of India to represent India. The Goan’s mastery over the artistic yoga display skills helped him retain his past record, made at the last edition in Argentina as he claimed gold in in asanas, artistic, free style artistic and rhythmic yoga, competing with the counterparts in the country that introduced the artistic yoga events in 1987.
Nhehern has consistently won national and international medals for the last 10 years (2007 to 2017) and is presently pursuing Physio and Yoga studies at NITTE university.
