Pope John school failed to bring out their game, allowing the Navelim outfit to dominate proceedings right from the start. Rosary HSS were extremely strong with their attack and so was their strategy. State player Sommaya Mukundan struck for Navelim team with a solo efforts. Earlier, Princy Mascarenhas had a couple of scoring chances but she frittered away from close range. It took Sommaya Mukundan less than 10 minutes to find her second goal in the 22nd minute. The wily winger, who was left unmarked near the centre, received the ball from Princy. Sommaya then made a dash to the opposition goal and scored. Down by 0-2, Pope John school seemed down on morale. They were outplayed in every department. The Navelim looked to capitalise further. Princy put the issue beyond doubt late in the first half. Crossing over, Rosary slackened their pace and did not allow their opponents to strike rhythm.They hardly made any attempt to dismantle the rival rearguard.
