Cavelossim started the match with high momentum but not many chances were created by them in the opening minutes of the match. Cavelossim medio Moises D'Sa played a lovely lobbed through ball to Matthew Colaco who could do little with it as he sent his shot wide.
Corps or Signals skipper Pawan Thakur tried a curling shot on goal but Cavelossim goalkeeper Siddesh Morje intercepted it.
Cavelossim striker Allwyn Vaz scored but he was deemed to be offside. Cavelossim's Richard Fernandes tried a long ranger but he saw his shot well blocked by Corps of Signal goalkeeper Niyas Mon. Moises D'Sa then played some lovely through balls to his team's frontmen but they failed to convert any of them in the first half. Niyas Mon made yet another decisive save just before the first half as he denied Allwyn Vaz in front of goal. In the second half, Corps of Signal looked revitalised following a change in their tactics. Cavelossim still looked to score but were unable to find the back of the net. Moises D'Sa whipped one in for Cavelossim's Matthew Colaco who managed to get his head on the ball but the try was well saved by Signals goalie Niyas Mon.
Kuldeep Kumar had a good chance to score off a corner but his shot missed the goal only by a few inches. Lairellakpam Singh then had a shot at goal after a lovely turn from inside the box but Cavelossim keeper Siddesh Morje did well to collect the ball.
The game finally came to life in the 82nd minute as Vishnu Chetri calmly tapped in the ball after Cavelossim keeper Siddesh Morje couldn't parry the ball to safety off Lairellakpam Singh's close range effort. Cavelossim looked to equalise through Sarabjit who saw his header miss the goal by a few inches.
Corps of Signals secured all three points in a match dominated by Santa Cruz Club of Cavelossim.
