SS Angle Higher Secondary School, Mashem Loliem won double crown at Zone IV inter higher secondary table tennis tournament for boys and girls organized by Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs at Borimol Sports Complex indoor stadium, Quepem.
In the boys finals, SS Angle HSS beat Damodar Higher Secondary School, Gudi Paroda, 3-1. In the first match, Sadanand Prabhugaokar of SS Angle defeated Prithviraj Chavan of Damodar 11-3, 11-5, 11-5. In the second match, Sanket Naik of Damodar beat Hensie Fernandes of SS Angle 11-8, 11-4, 14-12 to tie the match 1-1. Meison Fernandes defeated Kawaljit Singh of Damodar 5-11, 12-14, 11-8, 11-5, 11-8 and Sadanand Prabhugaokar beat Sanket Naik 13-11, 13-11, 11-6 as SS Angle claimed the title with a 3-1 win.
St Alex Higher Secondary School, Curtorim won the third place defeating Smt CT Naik Higher Secondary School, Curchorem 3-1.
In the girls' field, SS Angle beat St Alex HSS, Curtorim 3-0 in the finals. Leah Soares won the first game against Anifa Fernandes 11-6, 11-7, 11-5 and Cosima Fernandes beat Priya Fernandes 11-6, 11-4, 11-9, while Snevita Naik won the third game against Anuksha Figuiredo 12-14, 11-8, 11-4, 12-10. Smt CTN HSS beat Maria Bambino HSS 3-2 to win the third place playoff.
