St Anthony High School, Galgibag won the Children Football Festival football tournament when they humbled St Francis Xavier High School 3-1 in a tiebreaker after two goalless halves.
Naivedya, Ratesh and Meuban scored each for St Anthony HS while Vaden scored for St Francis Xavier HS. The tournament was organised by Canacona Sports Academy & GFDC Devabag Centre on the occasion of Children's Day and the World Cup 2022. St Tereza of Jesus High School bagged third place against St Anne's Institute by a solitary goal. The individual prize winners are:
Man of Match Final - Ved Pagi (St Anthony HS), Best Goalkeeper: Aaron Peixoto (SFX HS), Best Defender: Ashwed Gaonkar (SFX HS), Best Midfielder: Nitin Gaonkar SFX HS), Best Striker: Naivedya Parge (St Anthony HS).
The chief guest for the function was Rev Fr Freddy Lobo, Bhatpal, also present were
