Taekwondo Association of Goa has started preparations for the upcoming 36th National Games, which will be held in November this year.
On Friday, 109 trainees undergoing a selection camp organised by the association at SAG Multipurpose Hall, Fatorda, were given guidance by noted coach, South Korean Master Lee Jeong Hee, 7th Dan Black Belt. Hee delivered pep talks and guided the trainees on skills of playing the beautiful martial art. Hee was assisted by SAG coach Theophille Lowe. Addressing a press conference on Friday, Adv R D Mangueshkar, president of Taekwondo Association of Goa, highlighted that Goan taekwondo has always been a medal winning discipline for the State at the most national and international championships for the last 32 years.
“Goa has over the years produced quality taekwondo players. We are aiming for a good medal haul at the National Games,”
Mangueshkar said.
