It rained goals at the Chowgule College Artifical Turf Ground as Churchill Brothers Sports Club mauled United Club of Telaulim 20-0 in the Under-17 GFA Khelo India Girls football tournament. Churchill Brothers continued their dominance. Churchill Brothers was leading by 6-0 at half time. The highlight of the day was Pearl Fernandes netted eight goals, skipper Valaina Jada Fernandes scored 6 while Beleza Faleiro and Zuriel Tavares scored a hattrick each.
Ethan Vaz wins gold for India at Commonwealth Chess C’ship
MARGAOAsian Youth Chess Champion and chess prodigy Ethan Vaz of Goa led India to the gold medal in the Under-12 open category at the Commonwealth Chess Championship. The championships were organised in Sri Lanka, from November 14-22.In the U-12 Commonwealth Chess Championship held in Sri Lanka, Ethan once again made India and in particular Goa proud by winning the gold medal with a brilliant performance.
