Navelim Villagers Union prevailed over St Sebastiao UC, Benaulim 2-1 to enter the semi-finals of Carmona Village Panchayat Cup organised by Carmona Sports Club played at village panchayat ground, Carmona. Nash Pereira of Navelim Villagers scored in the 11th minute but their Joy was shortlived as Keegan Fernandes equalised in the 21st minute to go for lemon break 1-1. In the second half, Navelim Villagers played well and scored the all-important goal through Presley Gomes in the 49th minute to advance into the semi-finals. St Sebastiao Benaulim tried there best but Navelim goalkeeper saved the day.
